Description:
Efter at have virket i 20 år ved Retsmedicinsk Institut i København blev Willy Munck i 1943 ansat som prosektor ved Århus Kommunes hospitaler og som statsobducent for Jylland. I 1952 blev han udnævnt til professor ved Aarhus Universitet. Willy Munck fungerede som rektor for Aarhus Universitet i årene 1955-1959. Da professor, dr.med. Willy Munck i 1962 fyldte 70 år, blev han hædret ved, at nærværende medaille slået til hans ære. Den er udformet af medaillør Harald Salomon (1900-1990).
