Andrea Mantegna - Medaille af SØLV "Ludovico Gonzaga samt familie og hof"

Description:

Finsølvindhold: 28,86 gr.

Andrea Mantegna, 1430-1506, italiensk maler og grafiker. Mantegna stiftede bekendtskab med den florentinske renæssance uder ophold i Padova, hvor han sandsynligvis stod i lære hos Francesco Squarcione (1394/97-1468). Mantegnas tidlige arbejder i Ovetari-kapellet i Eremitani-kirken i Padova (ca. 1449-56) blev delvis ødelagt under 2. Verdenskrig. Ca. 1457-60 malede han højaltertavlen til kirken San Zeno i Verona, og i 1460 blev han ansat hos Gonzaga-familien i Mantova.
